In another experiment conducted, a boy diagnosed with autism, growth and developmental retardation was used as a subject and he underwent several therapies when he was five months old. However, albeit being treated, his developmental delays still continued. Digestive problems were also seen in the boy. He vomited most of the time and experienced severe constipation.
Thus, the doctors came up with the idea to put him on a gluten-free and casein-free diet. After two and a half months, dramatic improvements were seen. He had enhanced interpersonal relationships. Three months afterwards, he was seen playing with other children. Furthermore, gastrointestinal problems seem to have been relieved and he gained some pounds and grew taller.
These are just some of the proofs that a gluten-free diet has huge impacts on the overall health of a person.
